Bangor YM 2-2 Kelvin OB
Saturday 6 March 2010

Kelvin dropped 2 valuable league points due to their 2-2 draw away to
Bangor YM.
It started well for the visiting team when Stephen Richardson converted
an inswinging corner from Gary Bingham with a free header from close
range inside the first 10 minutes.
Kelvin should have been awarded a penalty soon after when Eddie
Williamson was fouled inside the area but somehow the referee awarded a
free kick on the edge of the area.
Bangor got back on level terms courtesy of a close range volley at the back
post but there was considerable debate as to whether the ball had gone inside
the post or through the side netting.
Bangor took the lead soon after with a freak goal. They were awarded a free
kick on the half way line which was taken by their centre half which
unbelievably went straight into the net without touching another player.
Kelvin made it 2-2 just after the break with another fortunate goal.
A back pass to the Bangor keeper bobbled just in front of him and rolled
over his foot and onto the net.
Kelvin did have chances late on but didn’t convert to give a final score of 2-2.
